High water on the Mississippi closes President Casino in St. Louis

A St. Louis riverboat casino is closed because of high water on the Mississippi River.

The President Casino shut down on Sunday because of the rising river, and won’t reopen until the water recedes enough to clear the ramps at the entrance.

The river was expected to crest Monday evening nearly 4 feet above flood stage. The Mississippi and other rivers rose dramatically late last week after heavy rains.
